Reflections of 2018 – A Year Of GROWTH

As I reflect on 2018, I couldn’t have even imagined where I am today. I have said it before but I am not a big fan of New Year’s Resolutions.

If I had to describe this year in one word it would be GROWTH.  I have grown so much in one year it is almost hard for me to understand.  At age 53 to say that I have grown more in 2018 than I have ever grown in one year is hard for me to imagine.

I didn’t start 2018 with a plan.  My goals for 2018 were pretty vague and not very ambitious (you can check them out here).  I just did the things that felt right.  Looking back, I am sure it was God leading the way but I can’t tell you that I was super close to Him.  There have been times in my life, especially hard times like my divorces, that I was super close to God and really sought His guidance.

But I am guilty of not seeking Him as much when things are going well or even just ok.  Good thing He doesn’t desert me.

When I started this blog in October 2017, I had no idea how much it would change my life.  This year I started working on my Health Coaching Certification with Integrative Nutrition.  Working with clients one on one in my 6-month program is so rewarding.

I also had the opportunity to become a certified coach for FASTer Way to Fat Loss®.  This program is the best online program out there that is changing so many lives including mine.  In 2018, I was able to help over 60 women learn new strategies on fitness and nutrition so that they could live a better life and have better health.

As I was on this journey to become a Health Coach and FASTer Way to Fat Loss® Certified Coach I started listening to more podcasts and I found some of my favorites that helped propel me even more on my GROWTH journey. I also read some of the best books ever this year.

What are my goals for 2019?  I am working on them.  I have set aside some time this week to work on these goals.  Never again, will I just let life happen.  I will set goals that are ambitious and measurable. Seeking God to help me on these goals, not just coming up with goals on my own.

There will definitely be some more GROWTH this year because I am heading to Tony Robbins conference with one of my sons in March.  I can’t wait to see what else is on the horizon for 2019!

Have you sat down and figured out your goals for 2019?  Write them out. Dream big. See what can happen in one year.
