So we all want to know what is the secret to Aging Gracefully? I started talking about Aging Gracefully With A Little Help From My Dermatologist about 3 months ago. I don’t mind getting older, in fact, I like getting older. The alternative doesn’t sound very good. However, I want to feel and look my best.
Feeling and looking my best requires maintenance. Just like you have to maintain your car to keep it running, we have to maintain our bodies to keep them looking and feeling the best we can.
When I met with Dr. Sawyer 3 months ago she explained to me the importance of quarterly maintenance with the botox and the photorejuvenation therapy. This week I went to see Dr. Sawyer for my maintenance. See the video below (Sorry about the quality of the video):
I want to stress the importance of finding the right dermatologist or plastic surgeon and sticking with that person. If you are in Birmingham, AL, I would highly recommend Dr. Sawyer and her office. She treats everyone as an individual and will help find the best maintenance program for you and your budget.
Maintenance looks different for everyone. What I do for the way I feel and look may be different from what you do. That can all depend on budget and priorities.
Skincare is essential for the secret to Aging Gracefully
- Wash your face every night before you go to bed and remove ALL makeup.
- Use sunscreen every day.
- DO NOT SMOKE.
- Eat mostly a plant-based diet.
Here is an article to check out on a guide to essential skincare at any age. It doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to take care of your skin. The earlier you start with your maintenance program the better your success and the less money you will have to spend later.
