It's finally getting cold! I have been waiting for this for weeks. I pulled out my sweaters this week and I was honestly so happy to see them.

Shop Your Closet First: My TWP Jeans

The other day I wore my TWP Tiny Dancer jeans and I got so many compliments. The funny thing is, I forget they're even in my closet.

That's exactly why I always shop my own closet before I go buying anything new. Some of my favorite outfits come from pieces I already own and just forgot about. I shared how I do it in How to Shop Your Own Closet This Fall. And my fall capsule wardrobe is the blueprint I use. I pull it up, stand in my closet, and see how many of the pieces I already have.

I wore them with this oxford, this belt, and these shoes.

My New Favorite Jeans: Levi's

I just bought these Levi's from Shopbop and I love them. This is the first pair of Levi's I have ever really, really liked. I love the fit.

They're a straight leg, which is such a great basic jean for fall. I've been wearing them with a sweater, or just a t-shirt.

I got them in a 25, and I had them hemmed because I wanted them to hit right at my ankle.

Jean Jacket Season Is Back

Now that it's finally a little colder, jean jacket season is officially back. Well, for one of them it never left.

I never stopped wearing my rag & bone Miramar trucker jacket. I wore it all spring and all summer, and now it's still perfect for layering with my sweaters for fall.
My newest purchase is this Frank & Eileen jean jacket, and I cannot wait to wear it. It is a splurge, but I love everything Frank & Eileen. They just do it so well.

The Accessories That Finish the Outfit

Jeans and a sweater are easy. What makes them feel like a real outfit is the little things. I put my favorites all in one place so you can shop my fall accessories collection here.

A good belt is what makes jeans and a tucked-in sweater look finished.
Scarves are everywhere this fall. This set is an easy way to try the trend without buying a whole new outfit. I like one tied on a ponytail or on the handle of a bag. And if you want a splurge, this scarf is on my wish list.
These gold hoops are my every day earrings, and this wood heart necklace makes a plain sweater or tee look styled.
